Job Description:
The Research Computing Division at RTI International has an opening for a Research Programmer/Analyst 2 to provide computing services for collecting, processing, managing and analyzing data as well as providing expertise in using an expansive list of programming languages, commercial software and RTI-developed software tools. Candidates with a broad skill set will be well-suited for working on a diverse set of projects. This position requires working in a team environment with other developers and staff from other disciplines, as well as communicating directly with external clients.
Responsibilities:
• Developing web applications utilizing current technologies (see qualifications below).
• Working on multiple projects with minimal supervision.
• Interfacing directly with clients.
Qualifications:
• B.S. in Computer Science, Mathematics or other technical discipline
• 5 years experience developing multi-tier Java Web applications using technologies such as Spring, Hibernate and Struts
• Experience with OOA/D (Object Oriented Analysis and Design), including design patterns.
• Experience with relational databases.
• Experience with the full software development lifecycle.
• Experience with high-performance computing and/or MATLAB is preferred but not required.
