Over 14 years of software development experience specializing in large integrated enterprise systems and service oriented architecture in a variety of job roles including programmer/analysts, software engineer, lead designer, technical lead, and architect. Kept career path very technically focused and continue to still be heavily involved in the implementation phases while addressing larger architectural issues. Currently an Application Architect implementing a variety of large scale software systems for the entire North American railroad industry.



Designed and developed enterprise systems that are integrated with other internal and external enterprise systems. Used a variety of technologies for these inter-system integrations including data sharing (XML/XSL), remote method invocation (DCOM, RMI, and EJB), messaging technologies (JMS and MQ), web services (RPC and RESTful style Web Services using SOAP and other technologies). Designed and implemented enterprise B2B systems that must have high availability, fail over support, strong security, high volume and large dataset performance, multiple version support, and distributed transactional support. These enterprise systems consist of multiple applications and were built using a SOA approach by building up common services or exposing services from existing applications as new services (both bottom up and top down approaches).



Designed flexible meta models for complex data systems and designed XML schemas for data exchange between different systems. Designed and developed a flexible rule engine for validating the data and a free text search engine. Designed and developed a fully configurable queue based work flow engine that allowed for tasks splitting, merging, and parallel branches. Designed and developed a fully internationalized system including support for double byte languages.



I am interested in a part-time telecommute position to work on primarily during the evenings and weekends for about 20 hours/week.
